1. TIG- Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)

It uses an electrode made of tungsten, one of the most durable metals, which does not dissolve or burn. Common welding industries include farming, aerospace, and the auto industry.
2. Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
This welding method does not need an external gas supply, as it uses a wire with a flux core to act as a gas shield. The wire serves as the electrode when the filler metal passes through it.
FCAW welding is the easiest method of welding for thicker or heavier materials. It can tolerate high heat but is also efficient, as it does not require external gas. Industries that use heavy machinery use this method of welding.
3. MIG- Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
MIG welding is one of the most popular methods used in various industries, such as the auto industry and construction. It is the easiest welding method for new welders, as it is simple to complete. The quick process feeds filler metal through an electrode wire, while gas shields it from contamination from outside elements.
While many industries can use it, it still has some limitations, such as it not being the best for outdoor use.
4. Stick-Shielded Metal Arc Welding
This is the best welding method when on the go. It is a portable option, making it easy to use for maintenance and repair tasks. Many industries use it, and it is commonly used for fabrication and underwater pipelines.
The stick acts as the filler material, creating an arc to merge the materials. It is suitable for outdoor use, as it does not need gas. You can use a variety of electrodes, but it is not the best application for thin materials.
